1. According to Cotality, dwelling values in Australia fell 0.4% m/m over June (-0.3% m/m seasonally adjusted) and are down 0.7% from the March peak.

All the decline has so far been in capital cities, with regional dwelling values continuing to rise.

Just to put things in (real) perspective (estimates used for Q2 CPI)…

2. Dwelling prices continued to fall in Sydney (-1.2% m/m) and Melbourne (-0.9% m/m) - both seasonally adjusted - at a solid clip and growth has slowed elsewhere.
