1. Aussie firms reported a sharp easing in recruitment difficulties in May, though the series is volatile. The number of jobs vacant for longer than 1 month has also trended a little lower in recent months.
2. The share of employers in Australia actively recruiting has softened in recent months, sending a similar signal to the NAB employment index.
