1. Australia’s slash composite PMI rate fell sharply to 47 in March from 52.4 in February. Responses were provided from 12-20 March. Forward orders fell below 50 from 54.3 in February.

Services industries accounted for all of the decline in the composite PMI.

2. Australia businesses reported the fastest rate of input cost inflation in more than 3 years and the strongest selling price inflation since August 2023.
