1. Food prices in New Zealand fell 0.1% m/m in original terms in February but rose +0.4% m/m in seasonally adjusted terms (following +0.6% m/m in January).

Note that StatsNZ revised down the estimated increase in food prices in January from +2.5% m/m to +2.1% m/m in original terms. This was because some supermarket scanner data were inadvertently not captured in initial estimates.

2. In 3m/3m terms, food price inflation in New Zealand edged higher to +0.8% in February (post seasonal adjustment).
