1. Nominal domestic spending using debit and credit cards in New Zealand rose +1.1% m/m in February after falls over the previous two months had largely unwound the surge higher in November. Retail spending rose +1.4% m/m and ‘core’ retail rose +1.6% m/m.

2. Kiwi’s card-based spending rose just +0.1% in 3m/3m terms in February, though ‘core’ retail spending rose +0.6%.
