1. According to the Labour Account, the number of filled jobs in Australia rose +0.4% q/q and +1.3% y/y in Q4. The number of main and secondary jobs both rose +0.4% q/q in Q4.
The number of employed persons (+0.7% q/q) and hours worked (+0.7% q/q) both increased in Q4 and rose +1.5% y/y.
2. Both non-market sector - health, education & public administration - and market-sector filled jobs in Australia rose +0.4% q/q in Q4. Year-ended growth in non-market jobs growth remained at +1.5% y/y and a bit faster than growth of +1.2% y/y in market sector filled jobs.
