1. The volume of construction work done in Australia fell 0.1% q/q in Q4 2025. Building construction rose +0.9% q/q and engineering construction declined 1.3% q/q.
Residential construction work done rose +1.0% q/q and +8% y/y. New home building grew +1.2% q/q, with detached house building falling 1.2% q/q and higher-density home building growing +5.6% q/q, consistent with trends in building approvals.
2. The volume of renovations activity in Australia fell 0.2% q/q in Q4.
