ONLY CHARTS is taking a bit of R&R in Tasmania’s wilderness currently while trying to squeeze in key macro data coverage which will be a little later in the day than usual.

1. According to ANZ-Indeed, the stock of job ads declined 0.5% m/m in December.

Daily Indeed job ads have been a little more resilient than the monthly ANZ-Indeed series (which also includes job ads from the government Workforce Australia jobs board).

2. In contrast to the softer job ads numbers, the share of recruiting employers in Australia reporting recruitment difficulties rose in December. The share of employers reporting unfilled job vacancies for more than a month has also trended higher.
