1. According to the Labour Account, the number of filled jobs in Australia rose +0.7% q/q and +1.2% y/y in Q3. The number of main jobs rose +0.5% q/q and secondary jobs rose +3.8% q/q.

The number of employed persons (+0.3% q/q) and hours worked (+0.2% q/q) both rose modestly.

Over the year, growth was similar for the labour force survey and labour account measures of employment but growth in filled jobs was a bit softer.

2. Non-market sector - health, education & public administration - filled jobs in Australia rose +1.0% q/q in Q3. Year-ended growth in non-market jobs growth has slowed significantly to +1.6% y/y. Market sector filled jobs rose +0.5% q/q and +1.0% y/y.
