1. SEEK job ads for Australia published today was the last of the monthly job ads series published for June.
The number of new job ads on SEEK fell 0.7% m/m in June but has been little changed in recent months. The job vacancy rate rose further in the month.
2. The ratio of SEEK job applications to job ads continued to rise in May and is at a very high level. We don’t read much into the extreme level of this series given anecdotal evidence that AI has supported a sharp rise in job applications.
