1. Australia’s monthly CPI rose +0.8% m/m and held at +2.4% y/y in April.
The CPI rose just +0.2% m/m in seasonally adjusted terms.
2. Australia’s year-ended trimmed mean inflation ticked up to +2.8% y/y in April.
This is a different beast to the trimmed mean measure based on quarterly CPI data, in part because it is ‘trimmed’ at the annual level.
