1. China’s CPI fell in monthly terms in February but the volatility over January/February is likely to at least partly reflect the early timing on Chinese New Year. Last year saw similar strong-than-weak outcomes over February/March.
2. In quarterly terms, seasonally adjusted CPI ex food and energy inflation in China has picked up.
