1. The volume of total building work in New Zealand fell 4.4% q/q in Q4. Residential building fell 4.9% q/q and the level of building was revised down in Q3.

2. We have previously noted that the relatively low level of residential building approvals had been flagging further declines in home building in New Zealand.
