1. The number of job ads newly advertised on SEEK in Australia rose 5.1% m/m in January, partly retracing the decline over the previous 3 months.

The increase in the SEEK job ads measure is similar to the rise in the already-published Internet Vacancy Index which included SEEK data.

2. By region, new job ads in the 2 largest state economies - NSW and Victoria - remained well below 2019 levels (as do job ads in the ACT).
