1. Annual state accounts for Australia released today showed a wide dispersion of growth outcomes across states and territories in 2023-24.

While WA had the weakest growth in gross state product in 2023-24 - largely because of weak real exports growth - it had the strongest growth in household consumption.

2. Victorian households again had the lowest saving ratio in Australia, and by a long way compared with households in most other states.
