1. The share of recruiting businesses in Australia reporting recruitment difficulties has broadly flattened out in recent months after trending lower for two years.

Recruitment difficulty has increased for low-skilled positions, which may be linked to the slowing in net immigration. In contrast, employers continue to report fewer recruitment difficulties for high-skilled jobs.

2. Similarly, Australian households’ unemployment expectations have improved in recent months (latest is for December).
