1. Nominal retail trade in Australia rose just +0.1% m/m in September, but this followed a +0.7% m/m rise in August which the ABS partly attributed to warmer-than-usual weather.
Retail sales rose +2.3% over the year and were 1% q/q higher in Q3.
2. Sales of household goods in Australia improved in both Q2 and Q3, amid rising established housing turnover. More recently, however, housing turnover has softened.
